Donova has a new feature designed to turn more phone calls into confirmed appointments, without adding extra work for your team. You can now connect your online booking page to Donova and have it shared via SMS directly with callers.
Whether you use Setmore, Calendly, a practice management system, or any other online booking tool, Donova can now send that link to your customers in seconds.
Why SMS booking links matter
Today, many callers are:
On the move (driving, commuting, at work)
Not ready to book during the call
More comfortable clicking a link than discussing availability
By sending a booking link via SMS, you:
Convert more enquiries into real bookings
Reduce back-and-forth calls about dates and times
Give customers a simple, mobile-friendly way to book
Keep all bookings flowing into your existing calendar system
This feature lets Donova do what it does best: handle routine calls, answer common questions, and now, guide callers smoothly into your online booking process.
How it works
When a caller wants to book – or asks for “the booking link” – Donova can reply with a friendly SMS that includes your online booking page.
The caller receives a text message on their phone, taps the link, and completes the booking directly in your booking system. Your existing confirmation emails, reminders, and calendar events continue to work as normal.
Donova does not replace your booking software. Instead, it connects to it and makes it easier for callers to reach it.
How to set up SMS booking links in Donova
Setting this up takes only a few minutes.
Log in to your Donova customer portal.
Go to Integration → Calendar Integration.
Click Configure.
Open the Calendar Link section.
Paste your online booking page URL (e.g. Setmore, Calendly, Fresha, or your own booking page).
Save your changes.
Once this is done, Donova can start sharing your booking link via SMS when appropriate during calls.
Example use cases
This feature is particularly useful when:
A caller says, “Can I book an appointment?” but does not have time to go through dates on the phone.
A customer calls outside your opening hours and still wants to secure a time.
You want to move more phone enquiries into an online booking flow for better tracking and automation.
Your team is busy, and you want Donova to handle more of the routine booking conversations.
Best-practice tips
To get the most value from SMS booking links:
Make sure your booking page is mobile-friendly. Most callers will be opening the link on their phone.
Keep your booking form as short as possible – fewer fields mean more completed bookings.
Use confirmations and reminders in your booking system to reduce no-shows.
Promote this option to your customers: mention that they can “call any time and receive a booking link by SMS.”
Ready to enable it?
If you already have an online booking page, you can enable this feature today by adding your link under:
Integration → Calendar Integration → Configure → Calendar Link in your Donova portal.
If you would like help connecting your booking page or do not yet have one, contact the DEVECTUS | Donova team and we will guide you through the setup.
This small change can have a big impact: fewer missed opportunities, more confirmed bookings, and a smoother experience for your customers and your staff.
